“25 Days of Living In The Light”

In everything I did, I showed you, that by this kind of hard work we must help others, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give, than to receive.’

Act 20:35

“We bought socks, deodorant, personal bracelets, soup, nice coloring books and other toiletry items for Haven of Hope, a women’s recovery home in Methuen, MA.  This home is a safe place for woman who are in transition or may need a safe place to stay. It makes me feel good and warm inside to give to others, things we have plenty of, and others do not.  I learned we should always give to others.  The women’s home asked for some of the items we brought to them. The woman need these items, because they don’t have them, or can’t get them. For us it is easy to get them. That is the difference. Some day we may be in their situation.  It fits into my Christian Faith when you think people have things like shampoo and learn they do not, it reminds me to think about people other than yourself. Even people you don’t know. God loves all people equally. You should try to love others as yourself. Thats what God wants you to do. Because God gives us that love.
