“25 Days of Living in the Light!”

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

1 Corinthians 13:13

I chose to donate to the Boston Healthcare for the Homeless program because about 2 years ago I saw a video where a guy had walked around New York City around Christmas time and asked the homeless people what they wanted for Christmas and would go buy it for them, their reactions were out of this world. My plan was to do that exact thing two years ago, but that year it hadn’t worked out so I decided to do it next year… you know 2020… that didn’t work out either. I couldn’t really do it this year either so the next closest thing I could do was donate to a homeless shelter in Boston. I really hope that I got to make some people holidays a little bit better. The particular project focuses on giving medicine and other medical needs. I know that these are probably the hardest things to find that homeless people really need, medicine and health care. The project is important to me because I know that some are not as fortunate as I am, some don’t have all of the things that I have the privilege of having and knowing that I can make a contribution to help change that makes it all worth it. And I think that this is important to my faith because God tells us that we should help others because God is in all of us. Some of these peoples stories of recovery from homelessness are incredible, I just want to help people out of some difficult times in their life and I am glad that I get to do that.
