I decided to buy a pack of 96 diapers with my $25 gift card to donate to the Community Giving Tree based in Boxford, Massachusetts. I am familiar with this non-profit organization because I have volunteered as part of their teen program over the past few years. Their purpose is to distribute basic necessities to more than 12,000 children in northeastern Massachusetts. I felt inclined to use my money towards this because it directly benefits local people in poverty. As a kid, I never realized how lucky I was to have plenty of clothes to change into and toys to play with. I want to give other children simple, basic needs that many people take for granted. I know that God is looking over all these families and helping them get through a difficult time. It fulfills me to see other volunteers and ordinary people gather together to be of help to others and not just care for themselves.
