“You shall not pollute the land in which you live.” Numbers 35:33-34.
I donated money to #TEAMSEAS, which is a “international collaborative fundraiser project run by MrBeast and Mark Rober, two Youtube content creators.” They are trying to raise $30,000,000, each dollar that is donated they will remove one pound of trash from the ocean. As of December 4, 17,503,923 pounds of trash have been removed from the ocean through this program.
Teamseas is also working with other organizations to help clean up rivers and other waterways. Most of the plastic and garbage that reaches the ocean flows there from rivers. Teamseas is using “trash collecting” interceptors to help with these efforts.
I chose this charity because I want to go into marine biology when I am an adult so I am very passionate about the ocean. It says in the Bible that we should not pollute the land so that is what I am trying to accomplish by donating to Team Seas. It is up to us to care for the Earth and to love one another and to care for God’s beautiful creation. Let us pray that we all can find ways to care for the Earth.
