“25 Days of Living In The Light”
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
John 1:5
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
John 8:12
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16

This holiday season, I was lucky enough to be able to be a part of this $25.00 gift card program. I used my gift card to try and support some of those who are less fortunate. My donations, that consisted of shoes and backpacks, are going to young children in Haiti. Haiti, to this day, suffers from the lasting aftermath of a devastating earthquake that took place in 2010. But I am not the only one to thank for this donation. My friend’s mother, Kelly Trolander, is a part of the Headwaters Relief Organization. She works a lot at helping others. I really admire this about her that she really wants to help others. This non-profit organization helps resolve many different urgent problems globally, from natural disasters in developing countries to issues right here in the US. Mrs. Trolander is someone whose career revolves around selflessness, and to be able to help out those who are in dire need this season because of her is a blessing. I believe that trying to be a good person is essential to be a faithful Christian, but by God’s Grace we can always rely on Him for support. We already get to go to heaven. I’m glad I got to share God’s Grace with others. Merry Christmas and have a great New Year!
