I used the $25 gift card to fill holiday baskets with food and snacks for Police and Firefighters. I did it because I know that even with everything going on in the world, those brave men and women still have to do their jobs, and they have to not only put themselves in danger, but now they put their whole family in danger to protect everyone else. While I was delivering the food, I learned that it is very important to appreciate and respect the authority figures we have in our lives, because they do everything they can to make sure we are safe in our homes and communities. I have also learned that God wants us to share with others, so I can do this by showing my appreciation to people when they might not expect it. I think that as long as we give back to the people who give so much selflessly to us, we are sharing the love that God has given to us.
