“25 Days of Living In The Light”

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

John 1:29

With my $25.00 gift card, my mom and I took a drive to Kohls and bought gloves, hats, socks and a blanket for people who go to Bread and Roses in Lawrence.  Both my mom and I contributed a little more to the amount of my gift card so we could get a little extra because buying something warm is kind of expensive.  These items to me are more than just clothing for the winter.  To me it means keeping someone warm and protected from the cold, harsh air of New England winter.  Cold air is a little like hate, it can make people want to hide and stay inside and just hibernate.  Warmth can represent the love that makes people want to smile and breathe in the fresh, warm air.  This winter I wanted to keep people warm in the cold weather, not only sharing the warmth that extra clothing brings, but also the love in my heart.   For me, Jesus acts, in our lives, like hats, gloves and warm socks, protecting us from the hateful cold.
