With the $25 from the church, I decided to buy and donate food to a local food pantry. I thought that it would be a good way to spend the money because it will supply food to people who might not be able to afford it. I believe that this is related to the Christian faith because it is showing love and care to people who don’t have the money to purchase their own meals. When I first received the gift card, I immediately knew that this is what I wanted to do with it. I think that during the Christmas season, families should focus on spending time with each other and not have to worry about how they will feed themselves. So my mom and I went to the supermarket and bought what the pantry said they needed. Also, when we were at the checkout, there was a rack of bags that said “Giving Back” on them and as luck would have it some of the proceeds from buying the bag went toward the food pantry. So, we bought one of those too. I hope our donations help people have a delicious holiday meal. Just one of the ways we can show God’s love to others. We have been given so much, just a nice way to share that love with others we meet.
