A couple of months ago, I worked a job at the Hasty Pudding Club. Little did I know it was across the street from University Lutheran Church. I was going to knock on the door and say Hi to Pastor Kathleen Reed who is the pastor there. But then, I saw a couple of homeless folks going into the basement. I found out they operate a Homeless Shelter in the basement. Last night, 8 people from Faith Lutheran Church in Andover signed up to serve a meal there. I wish there wasn’t a need for it. But pretty cool, there is a Lutheran Church on the 1st floor and a Homeless Shelter in the basement. Glad we could gather a group to help serve a meal there. Everyone said it was a worthwhile experience. And it was great getting to know one another better!
