This Saturday, Faith Lutheran Church participated in Habitat for Humanity’s “Building on Faith Day” sponsored by Thrivent!!! We had over 20 volunteers from Faith participating in two locations in Lawrence! What a great time we all had and it was really fun working side by side with one another and giving back to the community! Jobs included, installing vents, insulation, refrigerators, painting, cleaning, sanding and spreading loan. I think everyone was really tired on Saturday night, but it was so good working with everyone!!! A lot of laughs were had that day! The lunches made by the Youth Group were good too!!! A big thank you to Thrivent and Habitat for Humanity for putting this all together! And a big thank you to everyone who came and helped out!!! Tom Baird, the Site Supervisor who goes to our church said they are hoping to get the families into their homes by Thanksgiving, and with our help that is a possibility now!!! It was really awesome!!! And what a great way to give back to the community!!! You all rock!!! Thank you so much!!! What a great feeling we all had that day!!! You are all awesome!!!!!
