When I lived outside of DC, food trucks were a glorious find. At lunch time they’d be lined up along the street near busy workplaces and you could find anything – anything – you could think of!
There was the taco truck, the Hawaiian truck, the kabob truck, the pita truck, and more. Matching the diversity in food choices was the diversity in the customers. For a brief moment in the day, people streamed out of office buildings and gathered in line at the food truck, talking, laughing, and taking a break in their day.

I am excited that we are having a Food Truck Party at Faith! It is our theme for this year’s VBS and we’ve set a goal to host 20 kids who will come for four evenings (July 11-14) and sing, dance, eat, hear stories about God, make crafts and play games. It’ll start with a kick-off ice cream social right after church on June 10 to which EVERYONE is invited.

- Kickoff Sunday, July 10: 11:00 AM (after church)
- VBS Monday-Thursday, July 11-14: 5:00 PM – 7:45 PM (we provide dinner)
- Cost: $20/child with a maximum of $50/family but scholarships available and if you volunteer your kids come free!
