{"id":8404,"date":"2020-12-10T06:00:58","date_gmt":"2020-12-10T11:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/faith-andover.org\/wp\/?p=8404"},"modified":"2020-12-09T15:43:18","modified_gmt":"2020-12-09T20:43:18","slug":"the-lord-answered-their-prayers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faith-andover.org\/?p=8404","title":{"rendered":"The Lord answered their prayers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">by Barbara Payson<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"5184\" height=\"3456\" src=\"https:\/\/faith-andover.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/trust-tru-katsande-WUMSuerEjfM-unsplash.jpg\" alt=\"The Lord answered their prayers\" class=\"wp-image-8405\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Psalm 126<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>When the\u00a0Lord\u00a0restored the fortunes of Zion,<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0we were like those who dream.<br>Then our mouth was filled with laughter,<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and our tongue with shouts of\u00a0joy;<br>then it was said among the nations,<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u2018The\u00a0Lord\u00a0has done great things for them.\u2019<br>The\u00a0Lord\u00a0has done great things for\u00a0us,<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and we rejoiced.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><em>Restore our fortunes, O\u00a0Lord,<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0like the watercourses in the Negeb.<br>May those who sow in tears<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0reap with shouts of joy.<br>Those who go out weeping,<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0bearing the seed for sowing,<br>shall come home with shouts of joy,<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0carrying their sheaves.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Psalm 126 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Song of Ascents<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A walk to the summit of a mountain to get the captive of Zion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The people of Zion dreamed of having their captives back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Lord answered their prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They were filled with Joy and Laughter, they sang songs of the Bible with joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Lord tells us we will suffer, but will get to sow seeds and return with songs of joy, while carrying sheaves of wheat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I sometimes feel that when the Lord answers my prayers and my dreams, he has helped someone I prayed for, he has helped me when I was sick or looking for a job.
